  • Personal Contact Data: Name, email address, and phone number when you voluntarily submit inquiries or request business listings.
  • User IDs & Accounts: Unique system-generated identifier codes associated with business owner accounts to manage listings and access.

  • Business Information: Business name, phone, WhatsApp number, email, website link, physical address, geographical coordinates, and operating hours submitted by the business owner.

3. How We Use Collected Data

  • Operating and maintaining the Amman Now service and directory.
  • Managing business owner accounts and validating login sessions securely via One-Time Passwords (OTP).
  • Responding to user inquiries, feedback, and customer support requests.
  • Reviewing, editing, and publishing business listings and listings modification requests.
  • Moderating and publishing user-submitted reviews and ratings to prevent spam and maintain quality.
  • Monitoring system performance, traffic volume, and app interactions to optimize application layout and responsiveness.
  • Protecting the platform, preventing fraudulent activities, enforcing terms, and maintaining security.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to advertisers or marketing parties. We only share specific data with the following essential providers to operate the application:
  • Vercel (Hosting, Delivery & Analytics): Vercel hosts and delivers the application and provides cookieless traffic and performance analytics. As an infrastructure provider, Vercel may process request metadata such as IP address, user agent, country, requested page, and performance measurements according to its service terms.
  • Google Gemini (AI Assistant): If you use our in-app AI assistant, the text content of your messages is processed by the Google Gemini API to generate responses. Do not include sensitive personal information in assistant messages. We do not intentionally attach owner account credentials to the prompt.
  • SMTP Mail Server (Email Delivery): We use an SMTP service to deliver OTP verification emails and notifications. The service receives the recipient's email address, name, and message content solely to deliver system emails.

5. Data Security & Protection Measures

  • We apply standard encryption during transit using secure HTTPS (SSL/TLS) to protect all data transferred between the application and our servers.
  • We restrict access to personal details to authorized team members for administrative and verification tasks.
  • Authentication security: Business owner access is managed entirely via secure OTP verification sent to their email address. No passwords are stored or hashed in our database. We do not claim database-level encryption.

6. Data Retention & Deletion Policy

  • We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services, maintain business directory listings and reviews, resolve support requests, protect the service, or comply with legal obligations.
  • Users have the right to request access, correction, or complete deletion of their personal information and the closure of owner accounts.
  • To request account and associated-data deletion, visit https://amman-now.com/account-deletion. For other data requests, visit https://amman-now.com/data-removal or email info@amman-now.com. We verify requests before deleting data and disclose any limited legal or security retention that may apply.

7. Android Permissions and Location

  • The current Amman Now Android application does not request Android permissions for precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, SMS, phone calls, photos, or files.
  • Business map coordinates are listing information submitted by business owners or obtained from public business sources. The app does not collect the user's live GPS location.
  • If a future feature needs a sensitive Android permission, we will update this policy and provide any required in-app disclosure and consent before accessing the data.

8. Children's Privacy Policy

  • The Amman Now application is not intended for or directed to children under 18 years of age.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we discover that personal data of a child under 18 was collected, we will take immediate steps to delete it from our systems.
